 Xerox Document Scanners
Document Management and Document Imaging systems require document scanners to
scan paper documents and save them as images.
The new Xerox® DocuMate™ family of workgroup
scanners is now available throughout Europe. The series is the first to combine
the power of scanning, PDF file creation and document management, setting new
standards in image quality and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) accuracy. The Xerox DocuMate scanners are developed, marketed and supported by
Visioneer, based on the trademark licensing agreement between the two companies
announced last year.
Most Xerox scanners come bundled with a powerful suite of document and image
management applications including TWAIN and ISIS certified drivers, ScanSoft®
PaperPort 9, ScanSoft TextBridge Pro 9.0, and ArcSoft PhotoImpression 4.0. Some
models also bundle Kofax’s award-winning VirtualReScan™ (VRS) software,
which improves image quality and increases overall efficiency of the scanning
process for document management applications.
XEROX DocuMate 152 Scanner

The Xerox DocuMate 152 is a new desktop scanner that can do
everything you want and more. The Enterprise Client and an advanced TWAIN driver
that will allow you to communicate with hundreds of enterprise content
management (ECM) and document image management (DIM) software solutions with the
press of a single button.
The DocuMate 152 is a hi-speed, duplex colour scanner that
offers convenience and connectivity.

XEROX DocuMate 252
Scanner
The Xerox DocuMate 252 is a compact and effective high-speed scanner perfect
for workgroups and distributed applications. It has a 50-page ADF and scans 25
pages simplex and 50 ipm duplex at 600x1200 dpi, 48-bit color and a high-speed
USB 2.0 interface. Scan everything from checks and photos to legal-sized
documents. Create text searchable PDF files as image over text to efficiently
search and retrieve documents by their content or copy/paste to other
applications.

Also available is the Xerox DocuMate 250
which is the simplex (single-sided scanning) version of the 252.
The DocuMate 250 and 252 are very similar to the Kodak i30 and i40 scanners.

Most scanners are
suitable for use with Imaging for Windows
